We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated eCare Buddies to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of the individuals we support.
Position Summary
eCare Buddy, you will provide practical, emotional, and social support to people living with a range of disabilities. Your role will be integral in helping participants achieve their personal goals, maintain independence, and enhance their well-being, all while working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Support: Assist participants with daily living tasks such as personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Community Engagement: Support participants in accessing community activities, recreational pursuits, appointments, and other social engagements to promote inclusion and independence.
  • Goal Setting & Progress Monitoring: Work with participants to develop individual support plans based on their goals, needs, and preferences. Monitor progress and provide feedback to the NDIS team.
  • Skill Development: Assist participants in developing life skills such as budgeting, household chores, communication, and vocational skills.
  • Personalised Support: Provide assistance in accessing and managing NDIS-funded services and supports, including coordinating with other healthcare providers when needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, participant progress, and any incidents or concerns as per company policies and NDIS requirements.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for participant rights, ensuring that their preferences and needs are respected and upheld in all aspects of care.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the health and safety of participants at all times, identifying potential hazards, and taking steps to address risks appropriately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, carers, and other support professionals to ensure continuity of care and the best outcomes for participants.
Key Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (depending on the role).
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities or in a support role is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with NDIS participants, including understanding of NDIS plans and goals, will be an advantage.
Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience with a person-centred approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
